NORFOLK, VA – October 11, 2007 – Wasabi Systems today announced the release of its next generation storage product, Wasabi Storage Builder ® for IP-SAN v3.0. This latest version of Wasabi’s tightly integrated, high-performance storage solution will be demonstrated at Storage Networking World 2007 in Booth # PP5 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas.

Wasabi Storage Builder for IP-SAN v3.0 offers several significant enhancements to make it easier than ever before for VARs and OEMs to build and market Storage Builder appliances. New features and benefits include:
Support for SAS RAID controllers and expanders: Higher performance disk subsystems with 15K SAS drives, plus the ability to mix SAS and SATA drives for optimal performance. SAS expanders provide the opportunity to easily scale storage capacity inside and outside the storage appliance enclosure.
SES support: More efficient system monitoring and control. Users can easily view system temperatures, status of various system components, alarm status and settings, as well as mute alarms after they have been confirmed.
SNMP: Allows monitoring through third party console applications.
Configuration Copy Utility: Ability to automate the configuration of multiple systems while saving time and ensuring consistency across multiple platforms.
Context sensitive, on-line help: Provides end users with easy access to the users manual.
Localization support for UI: Currently supports English and Simplified Chinese
Enhanced Diagnostics support: Provides the solution provider and Wasabi with additional tools to diagnose and fix system issues after installation
Additionally, Wasabi Storage Builder IP-SAN v3.0 provides full support for virtualized server environments using both VMware and Virtual Iron products, and the ability to use the Wasabi Storage Builder target to boot diskless servers, workstations or clients using WinBoot or NetBoot products from emBoot Inc. Targeted applications of Wasabi Storage Builder include streaming video and audio applications such as network video recording for surveillance applications; Microsoft business solutions such as Exchange and SharePoint, database systems including Oracle 10G, MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server, and disk-based backup and archive applications.
